The scriptures overwhelmingly support God’s presence in the world. He notes the sparrow’s fall. He cares for the lilies of the field. He knows the number of the hairs of our head. He takes note of the insincerity of those who loudly profess to effectual pray. He compares the prayer of the proud and the prayer of the humble.
Prayer, it seems, is one of the topics of God’s greatest interest. He hears them all.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matthew 6:7-8 KJV
