In another event, Peter was caught and imprisoned. It was a political move by King Herod who had executed James and had found his act applauded by the people.
What was to be Peter's fate? The time of execution drew near and humanly speaking nothing could save him. But the church prayed! And when they prayed, no prison walls, iron gates or a squadron of guards could hold him, Peter was freed. There can be no doubt about prayer's power to change the situation.
