Imitating Christ - #26

In reality, everyone is inclined to do his own will and agrees more readily with those who hold with his views.  But if we want to have the presence of God among us, then we must be willling ot give up our own way in order to live in love and harmony with others.  Surely there is no one so wise that he knows everything.

Therefore, listen to the opinions of others and do not trust too much to your own point of view. Perhaps you are right, but by setting aside your own will and following another out of love for God, you will profit by it.

Amen! We have to arrive at this point in order to see the PERFECT WILL of God done in our lives. Most of us will have to imitate our Lord when he said, not my will, but your father be done. We exist to further his kingdom and to do his will. In our limited sight we will not see what others see so we must prayerfully consider and respect the counsel of those whom we love and we know they love God.

Amen in the multitude of counsel there is safety. When we respect other peoples points of view it opens us up to another aspect of life, it broadens our scope to receive fresh information and possible revelation. We must choose carefully and prayfully it helps be senative because every man has his story and life is full of helpful lesson to be shared along the way. :)
