Above all, prayer will make our lives Christ-centered. Effective prayer is in His name. We learn to ask as He gives us the desire of heart. The desire He places within us allows us to partner with Him, to work with Him and walk in concert with His plans and purposes. Our petitions are fashioned so that they may honor and glorify Him. In this way we grow into God’s ideal for His children.
Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my heart [solely, reverently] to fear and honor Your name. Psalm 86:11 AMP
